# Fast investigations using schedules

Camio is most often used for its real-time video search and alerts in GSOC triage and investigations. Sometimes, only the general time of day is known at the start of an investigation. For example, in COVID-19 contact tracing, you might look for the people that shared the same room 12pm-1pm over the last 10 days. If you could browse that same 1-hour time period across all days quickly, then you could also notify the right people quickly. The [Camio](/content/site-root.html) `schedule:` search operator enables you to browse quick summaries by constraining searches to a schedule.

## Same time, different days

Browsing the same times across multiple days is fast with the `schedule:` search operator. For example, to see everyone who shared a lunch room between 12pm and 1pm over the past ten days, use this query:

```
people 10 days ago schedule: 12pm to 1pm
```

As you scroll through the results, you’ll see only the events that happened in that particular 1-hour period from 12pm to 1pm each day.

The `schedule:` operators also supports days of the week. For example, to constrain that same investigation to Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, just add those days to the end of the schedule.

```
people 10 days ago schedule: 12pm to 1pm monday wednesday friday
```

## Multiple Schedules

You can also add multiple schedules. For example, to see people only after business hours on a weekday or anytime over the weekend, just add a comma before the next schedule.

```
people 2 weeks ago schedule: 6pm to 8am weekdays, 12am to 12am weekends
```

NOTE: the `schedule:` operator must be at the end of your query unless you terminate it with a semicolon. For example, if you were modifying the first query above to include only those people in the color `red`, then the query would be:

```
people 10 days ago schedule: 5pm to 6pm weekdays; red
```

## Auto-upload Query Filters

You can use schedules in [auto-upload query filters](https://help.camio.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030305092-Can-I-upload-automatically-only-when-an-Event-matches-a-query-condition-) too. The `schedule:` operator was originally created to support Remote Video Monitoring companies that need to upload automatically to the cloud only during nighttime monitoring hours and weekends.
